About the book series

Studi AISV is an open access book series of collective volumes and monographs which is dedicated to the sound structure of language and to its many interfaces with the other components of grammar and with discourse.

The book series is multidisciplinary and open to contributions on all phonetic/phonological aspects of spoken and signed language.

Research areas include speech production, speech acoustics, speech perception, sociophonetic variation and historical change, first and second language acquisition, speech and language disorders, the cognitive and neurobiological bases of speech representations, technological applications.

Texts are subjected to anonymous peer review processes that ensure the highest quality standards. Articles in collective volumes are peer-reviewed by three anonymous reviewers, monographs by two reviewers. Texts can be written in Italian or in English.

Collective volumes of the book series are published once a year, and articles appearing in them are published free of processing charges. As for monographs, they will be published according to the order of acceptance of manuscripts to Studi AISV, and their  publication is financed by moderate professional copy-editing costs. All volumes of the book series are freely downloadable from this website.
